Elena Frías-about the painter

Elena was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She showed her artistic inclination early in her childhood, but it is only as of the 80s that she decides to exhibit her work to the public, after perfecting her technique under the guidance of renowned Argentine artists, such as Enrique Torroja, Francisco Travieso and Luis Wells.
Her identification with nature, which she feels as something inherent to her own essence, becomes more evident during the times she lives in Peru, where she is in touch with the magnificence of the Andean landscape.
Carrying on the pictorial tradition of the landscape in the Argentine painting, it is in the South American geography that she finds her greater expresiveness, with oil being the medium that better achieves the expression.
